Patrons

The British Monarchist Society is pleased to announce those who proudly support the institution of Constitutional Monarchy within the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth. In their desire to support the British Monarchist Society and give relevance to its cause to defend and uphold the integrity of the Crown, the following list of people have pledged their support for the organisation and operation of the British Monarchist Soiety. Our supporters not only include those in the political realm, but upstanding individuals that have been recognised for achievement, or whom have devoted and dedicated their time to the preservation of the Crown. It is with great appreciation that the British Monarchist Society welcomes these individuals to our organisation:

Mr. Anton Lorien

Educated at the British Record Industry Trust School (The Brits School), Anton made his prime-time television debut to an audience of over 10 million at the tender age of sixteen.  In 2011, Anton released a #1 hit and music video for ‘We Are The Brits’ for the Afghan Heroes charity. All proceeds from this song are solely for the benefit of the charity, which shows Anton’s dedication to his nation and fellow countrymen. A patron of the British Monarchist Society, Anton cares deeply for the culture, heritage and traditions of his nation. When asked by the British Monarchist Society to compose a song in honour of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, Anton put his collaborative album project with a two-time Grammy winner on hold and set about producing the enclosed masterpiece entitled ‘Like a Diamond’.

Mr. Nigel Farage MEP

Nigel Farage is a UKIP MEP for the South East of England. Elected in 1999, he has used his experience of the EU to increase awareness of its activities back home in the United Kingdom. Nigel was re-elected Leader of the UK Independence Party in November 2010. A firm believer in Independence for the United Kingdom he is a proponent of free speech and has faced considerable hostilities from his political opponents for speaking out in favour of free and fair referendums on the transfer of power from elected politicians to the EU. In his very rare spare time he likes fishing, country sports and traditional English pubs. However, most of his time is spent travelling around the country and other countries in the EU telling the truth about the European Union and its negative effects on Great Britain. Mr. Farage is a firm believer in our Constitutional Monarchy and suppoerts the work of Her Majesty, the Queen.

 Sir Robert Russell MP

A British politician, Sir Robert has been a Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Colchester since 1997 (re-elected 2001, 2005 and 2010). He was the Liberal Democrat Spokesman on Culture, Media and Sport from 2002 to 2005, but was succeeded by Don Foster and was a member of the Liberal Democrat Shadow Defence team until the formation of the Conservative-Liberal Democrat Coalition Government on 11 May 2010, at which point he became a backbencher. Before becoming an MP, he was a councillor for over 20 years, initially for the Labour Party, then for the SDP, and finally for the Lib Dems. Russell represented the town’s New Town ward. He was leader of Colchester Borough Council until 1991 and was Mayor of Colchester from 1986 to 1987.

Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg MP

Jacob was elected as the Member of Parliament for North East Somerset in May 2010, with a majority of 4914. Being elected, fulfilled his ambition to represent the Somerset parliamentary seat in which his family has lived for generations. Within Parliament, Jacob sits on the Procedure Committee which considers the practice and procedure of the House in the conduct of business and the European Scrutiny Committee which assesses the legal and political importance of each EU document, deciding which is debated within the House. After Eton Jacob read History at Trinity College Oxford, before moving into finance being based in Hong Kong and later moving back to London. He now runs his own company, Somerset Capital Management, which specialises in investment management for pension funds and charitable organisations. Jacob’s interests are very much family oriented. Apart from an extended family living locally in Somerset, his three young children certainly keep him on his toes! In what little spare time he has left, Jacob also enjoys watching cricket; he has supported Somerset County Cricket since he was a child and enjoys few things more than a day at Taunton.
